Although the game has a solo mode I would highly recommend playing it in co-op mode with friends and family, ideally with people who have also played it before otherwise prepare for arguments, fights, divorces. But once I was advancing through the levels it started to become more natural. My main problem was focusing on one chef at a time and not sharing the tasks efficiently.
